Part-Exchange ?

Do you part-exchange when buying a car ? No I'm not selling anything. At the beginning of year I downsized my car as no longer needing an estate car. But do you ever wonder what happened to your car ? You must get attached to it over a number of years, well I did.

Earlier this week, a strange thing happened on returning from a short afternoon walk to feed the birds, coming along my road to pick up a lady at the station was my earlier BMW blue car. Due to it's unusual number plate I recognised it straight away. It was just strange seeing someone else with the car. I even waited at my bottom entrance to glance over to see it drive away out of my road. Last time I saw it, was when leaving it in a car dealer's forecourt near Maidstone. I even told the dealer to let me know how it got on at auction but he never did.

Happy motoring to the latest owner, it served me well when caring for my late mum.

A new month, year end is near ...

After yesterday's rain & wind, should be out enjoying the sunshine but still twittering ( got a tweet mention on 606 radio programme last night ) & updating my listing blog nearing 900. Job search is at snail pace, my fault ! Should have gone to social club party on Saturday but lazy & hate Halloween ! Sorry America we have Guy Fawkes Night that's enough with bloody fireworks before & after the actual night ! Am I turning into a grumpy old man ? At least The Blues ended last month top of the league ! Long may it continue ..

You wake up early knowing you must do something, checked my tweets, did the usual on line stuff, now get ready, do a bit of house-keeping, behind with mags/reading, all boring stuff, well it's Sunday isn't it ?

Today I close my Twitter blog here as it's now bigger and better at Wordpress due to the pages layout. Sorry Blogger just 3 blogs here now !

About Twitter, you'll see that I don't follow many Twitters and alas many don't follow me. I appreciate when I get a follow from a tv/movie/sports celeb but alas some follow just to increase their numbers and never reply ! Others reply but not follow.

On the latter I would like to clear the air on one reply yesterday when I made 'a happy BBC employee' comment about someone in Cyprus for the Chelsea game by the pool reading a mag. Having been accused of "bitterness", I replied that I was envious being a Blues fan. Honestly, having applied for Beeb work years ago, some of their employees do take their benefits for granted. As 'between jobs', I would be happy for a future employer to send me all over the world expenses paid but alas the BBC is an out of date institution that is financed by me & every licence payer. Yep it's due this month !

Last Friday due to spare time I went on a London walk and ended up in Marylebone High Street and memories came flooding back of helping out DJ Jeff Young & the boys early Saturday morning at BBC Radio London all those years ago. Nearest I ever came to working for the Beeb !

So a new month and my new job search continues for this over-50 guy who got called 'kid' yesterday.

Occupied but ...

If you been wondering why there's been no posts for awhile. Been busy with blogs & websites to keep the mind active while 'between jobs'. Have to be productive in some way ?

My first Euro match for sometime is covered at The Bridge ( link left ) and my social club activities are now covered by a reopened/renamed one called Steve's Social Club Blog ( link left ).

Also got my first chair of meeting at my naturist group this Saturday .. "Next item !"
